Nobody can pay to appear, there are no sponsored placements, and "well known" is not a qualification. ### St Julian’s School

Long-established British international school in Carcavelos, between Lisbon and Cascais, teaching the English National Curriculum and the IB.

- **Why it is listed:** Toured it ourselves, and friends have children there who are happy.

### Carlucci American International School of Lisbon (CAISL)

American curriculum school in Linhó, Sintra, teaching ages 3 to 18 in English and offering the IB Diploma alongside the US high-school track. The obvious choice if you want your children on an American path.

### TASIS Portugal

Sintra campus of the TASIS group, from pre-kindergarten to high school, taught in English with IGCSE and the IB Diploma. Around 65 nationalities on roll.

### Oeiras International School

IB World School in the Oeiras valley running all three programmes for ages 6 to 18, on a five-hectare campus with woodland and a river. States plainly that it is not academically selective.

- **Why it is listed:** Our own three are here, or have graduated from it. This is the one we chose.
